Our Work

Becoming a lawyer is an achievement.  Along the way, almost everyone experiences stress, feelings of not belonging, and worries about their ability to cut it. These experiences of psychological friction act as a drag on all students.  But they often have their greatest impact on first generation students, students from racial minority groups, and other students who face negative stereotypes. MILE seeks to understand these dynamics, measure their impacts, and create scalable programs in response that unleash aspiring lawyers’ underlying potential.
